G type gravel pump is a kind of horizontal slurry pump. From the name alone, it is not difficult to see the purpose of the gravel pump. Sand and gravel pumps
are generally used to pump sand from the sea or rivers, dredger mining, trenchless pipe jacking projects, river dredging and so on. So what is the difference
between sand and gravel pumps and ordinary slurry pumps?
First of all, the slurry pump adopts a double pump shell structure, the outer layer is composed of the pump body and the pump cover, and the inner layer is
composed of the sheath, the protection plate and the impeller. The sand and gravel pump is designed with a single pump shell structure, which increases the
space of the pump chamber to the greatest extent.
The second is the difference of the impeller. The impeller used in ordinary slurry pump is a closed impeller, and the flow channel design of the impeller is
relatively narrow, and although the impeller of our sand and gravel pump is also a closed impeller in design, it usually uses a three-blade blade, and the design
of the impeller as a whole is wide, suitable for conveying large materials.
